Promising Young Designer Whitney Robeson Remembered for Her Talent and Grace


The College of Human Sciences is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Whitney Robeson, a recent graduate whose life and achievements left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Robeson graduated summa cum laude in May 2025 from the college’s Interior Design program, where she quickly distinguished herself not only through her creativity and dedication, but through her kindness, integrity, and deep faith. Faculty and peers alike remember her as a bright and compassionate presence, someone who uplifted others while pursuing excellence in her craft.
Shortly after graduation, Robeson began a new chapter in Birmingham, taking on a role with Restoration Hardware — a position her family described as a longtime dream realized. Her passion for design and her commitment to meaningful work made her future especially promising.
Though her life was tragically cut short, those who knew her say it was defined by generosity, purpose, and a genuine care for others. The impact she made in her time as a student and young professional continues to resonate deeply within the community.
As family, friends, and the College of Human Sciences come together in grief, they also honor a life that, while far too brief, was filled with light and meaning. Plans for a celebration of her life are being shared, as loved ones remember Whitney Robeson and the enduring legacy she leaves behind.
