Sjogren had been a cherished member of the JFK family for 27 years and was approaching her 25th year as a director. Throughout her decades of service, she became known for the passion and care she poured into her work, guiding and uplifting countless students and families. Her influence extended far beyond the classroom, shaping lives and strengthening the communities she served.
Students, former students, head instructors, and fellow directors remember Sjogren as a supportive leader who believed deeply in the potential of those around her. Her dedication to her craft and the people she mentored earned her widespread admiration, including being honored as Director of the Year in 2011.
Her impact was especially felt in the communities of Princeton and Cambridge, where she devoted years of service, building strong connections with families and creating an environment where young people felt encouraged and valued.
