MATHISTON, Miss. — The central Mississippi community is mourning the loss of Andy Martin, a longtime broadcaster and former Boswell Media employee, who was killed Monday night in a tragic single-vehicle accident on the Natchez Trace Parkway near the Mathiston exit.
Rangers with the Natchez Trace Parkway reported that Martin’s car veered off the roadway and struck a tree in the median. Despite the swift arrival of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
A Familiar Voice Across Central Mississippi
A native of Leake County, Martin was widely recognized for his decades-long career in radio. Years ago, he served as the morning show host and news director for Breezy 103, now known as Breezy 101. During his time with Boswell Media, Martin became a trusted voice and a daily companion for listeners, blending news, music, and storytelling with warmth and professionalism.
