The community of Hastings is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Michelle Christine Temple, who passed away far too soon on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the age of 35.

According to family members, Michelle died peacefully while surrounded by her loved ones, leaving behind a deep sense of sorrow among family, friends, and all who knew her.

Michelle was born on April 9, 1990, in Red Wing to Renae (Hinsch) Kackmann and Brian Lohman. She spent much of her childhood growing up in Lake City, where she formed many lifelong friendships and memories.

At the age of four, Michelle welcomed Dale Kackmann into her life as a loving bonus father, helping shape the supportive and close-knit family environment that remained important to her throughout her life.

Those who knew Michelle describe her as a kind-hearted and devoted individual whose warmth and compassion touched many lives. Her passing has left an immeasurable void for those closest to her, who remember her for the love she shared and the joy she brought to those around her.
