The New York City Police Department is mourning the loss of Sorffly Davius, a dedicated police officer and U.S. Army National Guard officer who passed away following a medical episode while deployed overseas in Kuwait in support of Operation Epic Fury.

Officer Davius served both his city and his country with distinction. In addition to his role with the NYPD, he was a member of the 42nd Infantry Division in the United States Army National Guard, where he rose to the rank of Major through years of dedicated military service.
