Authorities are investigating a deadly crash that took place shortly after 3 p.m. near 2897 East Blakeslee Boulevard, directly in front of 443 Auto Sales, leaving one person dead and a community shaken.
According to the Carbon County Coroner’s Office, the collision involved a passenger car and a stake-body truck. Snyder, who was operating one of the vehicles, suffered fatal injuries in the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 4 p.m. by Carbon County Deputy Coroner Erika Reinheimer.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene following reports of the crash, but despite their efforts, Snyder could not be saved. The roadway was partially closed for a period of time as authorities worked to secure the area and begin their investigation.
Details surrounding the cause of the crash have not yet been released. Officials said the incident remains under investigation, and further information will be made available as it becomes known.
