Dr. Zamir died following a fatal incident on North Central Expressway in Dallas, a loss that has sent shockwaves through the lives of all who knew him.
Dr. Zamir was widely respected for his clinical expertise, compassionate approach, and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care. Specializing in pulmonary and critical care medicine, he was particularly known for his work with interstitial lung disease, chronic respiratory conditions, and preventive health. Patients consistently described him as attentive and empathetic, a physician who took time to listen, explain complex conditions with clarity, and empower individuals to actively participate in their treatment. A graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Zamir completed his residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network and went on to complete his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine, he was admired by peers for his professionalism, intellectual rigor, and dedication to lifelong learning.
Outside of his medical career, Dr. Zamir was a devoted husband and father who treasured time with his family. He was known for his gentle demeanor, intellectual curiosity, and thoughtful nature, finding joy in photography, reading, and meaningful conversations with loved ones and colleagues alike.
