PITTSFIELD, MA — The Pittsfield community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Brodie Slonski, a 17-year-old senior at Taconic High School, who passed away unexpectedly following an unfortunate incident on Sunday evening.
A bright student and a beloved friend to many, Brodie was known for his warmth, humor, and determination. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of classmates, teachers, teammates, and family members who remember him as a young man full of promise and kindness.
At Taconic High, Brodie stood out not only for his academic commitment but also for his athletic involvement. He was an active member of the school’s golf and bowling teams, where his focus, sportsmanship, and positive attitude inspired those around him.
“Brodie was the kind of student every teacher hopes for — hardworking, respectful, and full of life,” said one of his instructors. “He cared deeply about his friends and always found ways to lift others up.”
