BUFFALO, NY — The Buffalo community is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Kathleen “Katie” Carrig on October 18, 2025. Katie was a cherished daughter, sister, friend, and loving mother, remembered for her warmth, kindness, and devotion to family.
Katie was the loving mother of the late Noah Carrig and a devoted dog mom to Stella. She was the beloved daughter of Matthew and Karen (Behringer) Carrig, and sister to Meghan and Matthew Carrig. She also held a special place in the hearts of her grandparents, both living and late, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved and admired her. Katie shared a treasured friendship with Ellen Plunkett, who remembers her as a loyal and caring companion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 115 O’Connell Ave, Buffalo, NY. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church; there will be no prior visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Child and Family Services or WNY Postpartum Connection Inc., in honor of causes close to Katie’s heart. Online condolences can be shared at www.CANNANFH.com.
Katie’s life, though far too brief, left a lasting imprint on her family, friends, and community. She will be remembered for her love, compassion, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
