COVENTRY, R.I. — The community is mourning the loss of Gaby Boukarim, 57, who passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family at Sunny View Nursing Home in Warwick.
Gaby was the beloved husband of Katia Ghoche and a dedicated father to his cherished children, Angelo and Kaya Boukarim, who were the center of his world. Born in Lebanon, Gaby was the loving son of Odette Farah Boukarim and the late Nazih Boukarim.
He was a man known for his deep compassion, strength, and unwavering love for his family. Gaby touched the lives of many — not only through his kindness but through the quiet, steady way he supported those around him.
He is also survived by his siblings, Pierre Boukarim and Diana Boukarim Naddaf, and was a proud uncle to Jessi, Jonathan, Paul, and Mark, who will remember his gentle humor and warm presence.
A funeral to honor Gaby’s life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. George Maronite Catholic Church, 1493 Cranston St., Cranston. Family and friends may gather for a visiting hour beginning at 9:00 AM, prior to the service. Burial and committal prayers will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Greenwich.
In this time of sorrow, we remember a man who gave his all to the people he loved — a husband, a father, a brother, and a friend whose absence leaves a space no one else can fill.
🕊️ May his soul rest in eternal peace.
💐 Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Boukarim family and all who mourn this profound loss.
