OHIO — With profound sadness, the Donahue family announces the passing of Randall Donahue, who died peacefully last night after a brave and hard-fought battle with adult leukemia. He was 59 years old.
Randall’s resilience and determination inspired everyone who knew him. Despite facing overwhelming odds, he lived courageously for five years following his diagnosis — years that his family calls nothing short of a miracle. His deep knowledge of nutrition and health played a major role in sustaining him, often giving him strength and hope even when doctors had few options left.
Most recently, Randall had been making plans to relocate and live with his mother, a dream he looked forward to realizing. Sadly, like many cancer patients, complications from pneumonia ultimately took hold before he could make that move.
For the past five years, Randall lived with his oldest brother, Les, who was by his side through countless doctor appointments, hospital stays, and long nights of uncertainty. Their bond was unbreakable, built on love, humor, and shared strength through difficult times.
Randall was one of five siblings — the first among them to pass — leaving behind a family whose hearts are heavy but grateful for the time they shared with him. His sister, who lives in Arizona and whom Randall lovingly referred to as “Sis,” shared heartfelt words of love and loss:
“Love you, Randall… your courage, your kindness, and your faith will always live in my heart.” ❤️🙏
Those who knew Randall remember him as a man of compassion, wisdom, and quiet strength — someone who faced life’s hardest battles with grace and gratitude. His journey touched countless lives, and his spirit will continue to inspire hope in those he leaves behind.
🕊️ May you rest peacefully, Randall Donahue — your courage and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who called you brother, son, and friend.
