Saddle River Fire Department Mourns the Loss of Beloved Firefighter and Former Association President Jack Inserra


SADDLE RIVER, N.J. — It is with profound sadness that the Saddle River Fire Department announces the passing of Association Ex-President and Firefighter Jack Inserra, a dedicated public servant who gave more than two decades of his life to protecting and serving the community.
For over 20 years, Jack proudly wore the Saddle River Fire Department uniform, demonstrating unwavering commitment, courage, and pride in every call he answered. Colleagues and friends describe him as a man of integrity and heart — someone who led by example and treated every member of the department like family.
In a heartfelt statement, the department expressed its grief and gratitude:
“Please keep our brother Jack and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Rest easy, brother — we’ll take it from here.”
Inserra’s dedication extended far beyond firefighting. He was a mentor, a friend, and a leader whose presence shaped the spirit of the department and strengthened the bonds within the Saddle River community.
