El Dorado Mourns the Loss of Beloved Resident Timothy Verbeck, 64, After Tragic Motorcycle Crash on K-254

El Dorado, Kan. — The El Dorado community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 64-year-old Timothy Verbeck, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash on K-254 Saturday afternoon.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), Verbeck was identified as the motorcyclist involved in a fatal collision near East 61st Street North and North 111th Street East in Sedgwick County. Investigators reported that he had been traveling eastbound when his motorcycle struck a vehicle that was attempting to cross north on Greenwich Road. Preliminary findings indicate that the northbound driver failed to yield the right of way, resulting in a devastating impact.
Emergency crews responded to the scene around 3:25 p.m., closing eastbound lanes of K-254 for several hours. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Verbeck succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
