RANDOLPH COUNTY, WV — A heartbreaking accident on Wednesday evening has left the Brandywine community mourning the loss of 55-year-old Mary Rexrode, who was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Randolph County.
According to the West Virginia State Police, the crash occurred around 6 p.m. on October 8, 2025, along U.S. Route 219 in Huttonsville. Preliminary reports indicate that Rexrode was traveling north when her vehicle suddenly left the roadway for reasons still under investigation. The car struck a culvert and overturned, coming to rest in the opposite lane.
Emergency crews arrived quickly at the scene, but despite their efforts, Rexrode was pronounced dead shortly after. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
