SHELBY, Ohio — A wave of sorrow has swept through the Shelby community following the passing of Sandra Chilson on October 7, 2025. A devoted mother, compassionate caregiver, and cherished friend, Sandra’s death has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Sandra was a longtime State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at Crestwood Care Center, where her kindness and dedication touched the lives of countless residents and their families. Colleagues remember her as a steady, comforting presence — someone who approached every day with warmth, patience, and a genuine love for helping others.

Outside of work, Sandra’s greatest joy came from her role as a mother to her two beloved children. She was known for her selflessness, humor, and unwavering strength — qualities that inspired those around her even during the most challenging times.

Her sudden passing has brought deep grief to family, friends, and co-workers who describe her as “the heart of every room she entered.” To honor her life and legacy, the Shelby community has organized a fundraiser to assist her family and celebrate the incredible impact she made in her time on Earth.
