SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The San Francisco community is in shock following a heartbreaking incident that police are investigating as a murder-suicide. Authorities confirmed that officers discovered the bodies of 37-year-old Kaleb J. Perales and his mother, 60-year-old Brenda L. Nogle, inside their home earlier this week.
Police were called to the residence for a welfare check when family members became concerned after being unable to reach the pair. Upon arrival, officers found both deceased in what investigators have determined to be a tragic and deeply disturbing case.
Neighbors and friends expressed disbelief and sorrow, describing Brenda as a kind and caring woman who loved her family deeply, and Kaleb as quiet but respectful. “They were good people,” one neighbor shared. “It’s just heartbreaking to know something like this could happen here.”
The San Francisco Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, urging the public to respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.
The community has begun leaving flowers and messages of condolence outside the home, mourning the loss of two lives and grappling with the painful questions that remain.
