According to Dauphin County Deputy Chief Clerk Vince Paese, officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots late Tuesday evening. The scene quickly escalated into a large-scale emergency response, with the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team later surrounding an area near Swatara and South 2nd Streets, using a loudspeaker to call for the suspect to surrender.
Despite the swift response of first responders, Kenyatta Henry was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. Another man was transported to a local hospital with injuries, though his condition has not yet been released.
