Hearts are heavy this week as family and friends mourn the heartbreaking passing of Jocelyn Carella-Erickson, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and cherished friend. Jocelyn’s presence was unmistakable — bright, bold, warm, and fiercely loyal. To those who knew her, she was equal parts sweetness and spark, the kind of person who could make any room louder, warmer, and more alive simply by walking into it.
Loved ones describe Jocelyn as “a Valkyrie” — a fitting tribute to her strength, courage, and radiant spirit. She lived life fully, and she loved deeply. Her relationships were not casual; they were wholehearted. She lifted others up, encouraged them to be braver, and offered a kind of love that wrapped around people and stayed with them.
Her passing has left those closest to her shattered, struggling to understand a world without her laughter, her fire, and her unwavering presence.
“I’ve loved you since the moment I knew you were to be; and I will love you always,” one family member shared. “We will be ok, but not right now.”
Jocelyn’s life was marked by profound impact — not just in what she achieved, but in who she shaped. She brought people together, including Kris, whom her family lovingly calls one of the greatest gifts she ever gave them. Through her, family bonds deepened, friends became kin, and love grew in places it had never existed before.
She shared late-night conversations, adventures, memories stitched from joy and chaos, and even the occasional strong opinion about someone else’s driving — a detail her loved ones recall with both tears and laughter. Even in grief, they speak to her, inviting her to stay close: “Come visit frequently. Just don’t scare the cats and the dog.”
Her loss is immeasurable. Her love, however, remains — threaded into every life she touched.
In time, her family says, they will learn to breathe again. But for now, they are simply holding one another, remembering, and loving her the way she deserves — loudly, fiercely, endlessly.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Jocelyn Carella-Erickson.
Her spirit lives on in the lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the mark she leaves on every heart that had the privilege of knowing her.
