Greenwich Mourns the Loss of Officer Robert Pascale #116

GREENWICH, Conn. — The Greenwich Police Department and surrounding communities are grieving the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Officer Robert Pascale #116, a dedicated public servant, teammate, and friend who was known for his unwavering professionalism and genuine compassion. Officer Pascale passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy defined by integrity, kindness, and a deep commitment to the people he was sworn to protect.

Born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Officer Pascale’s journey into public service was guided by his strong sense of responsibility and a desire to make a meaningful difference. He attended Penn State University, where he earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminology and Economics, along with a Business Fundamentals Certificate from the Smeal College of Business—demonstrating both academic dedication and an unwavering work ethic.

Officer Pascale began his law enforcement career with the Greenwich Police Department on April 18, 2022. He graduated from the New Britain Police Academy’s 19th training session and quickly became recognized for his professionalism, steady composure, and sincere commitment to community policing. His exceptional report writing, willingness to assist colleagues, and ability to treat every individual with dignity earned him multiple letters of recognition during his service.

But beyond the badge, Officer Pascale was known as a loyal friend and teammate—someone who always showed up when it mattered. He was respected by fellow officers not only for his reliability, but for his warmth, humility, and the quiet strength he brought into every room. He volunteered his time supporting local organizations and remained deeply connected to the sports he loved, particularly football and lacrosse.

Those who served alongside him describe him as the embodiment of what it means to wear the uniform—with honor, compassion, and a genuine desire to help.

The loss of Officer Pascale is felt deeply across the department and the wider community he served. His absence leaves a void that cannot be replaced.

Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue in Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Monday, November 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Saint Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford.

As the Greenwich Police Department stands beside the Pascale family during this unimaginable time, they promise that Officer Pascale’s memory, service, and spirit will continue to live on.

He will forever remain a member of the Greenwich Police family.
