Palmer Community Grieves the Loss of 19-Year-Old Thor Nilsson After Tragic Glenn Highway Crash


PALMER, AK — The Palmer community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Thor Nilsson, a 19-year-old whose life was tragically cut short in a car crash early Tuesday morning along the Glenn Highway.
According to Alaska State Troopers, the accident occurred near the 38-mile marker, where Nilsson was discovered in a Ford F-250 that had overturned. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The tragedy marks the second fatal accident in Southcentral Alaska in recent days, leaving the community shaken and Thor’s family and friends devastated.
