WEST MILTON, Ohio — The Miami County community is reeling after a heartbreaking incident early Saturday morning that claimed the lives of a husband and wife in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide. The victims have been identified as Jacob Pritchard of Huber Heights and his wife, Jamie Pritchard.
According to West Milton Police Chief Doyle Wright, a patrol officer discovered the couple outside a city government building on South Miami Street shortly after 5 a.m. on October 18, 2025. Responding officers and deputies found both Jacob and Jamie deceased at the scene. Investigators believe the tragedy stemmed from a domestic-related incident that ended in violence.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
