Tragedy in Columbus: 7-Year-Old Boy Fatally Injured by Unattended Gun at Rental Property


Columbus, OH — Police are investigating a heartbreaking incident in which a 7-year-old boy accidentally shot himself after discovering an unattended firearm at a short-term rental property. The child was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving family and neighbors in shock.
Authorities say the boy somehow accessed the weapon while inside the rental unit. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but tragically, nothing could be done to save him.
