West Chester Mourns the Passing of Suzanne Marsh Cox


WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The West Chester community is grieving the loss of Suzanne Marsh Cox, who passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, after an eight-year battle with a degenerative disease. She was 59 years old.
Born in Bryn Mawr on February 26, 1966, Suzanne lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. She made her home in West Chester, where she was cherished for her vibrant personality, boundless energy, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.
Suzanne is survived by her devoted husband, Winston (Samuel) Linehan; her loving sons, Tyler M. Cox (Amanda) and Matthew W. Cox; and her adored grandchildren, River and Leo, who brought her immeasurable joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Willard Marsh and Alice (née Tomlin) Marsh; her sister, Cynthia Woodward Marsh; and her beloved son, Ryan William Cox.
Friends and family remember Suzanne as a bright, outgoing spirit whose laughter could fill any room. Whether skiing, boating, gardening, or simply relaxing poolside, she embraced each day with enthusiasm and grace. In her younger years, she found freedom on horseback—a reflection of her adventurous soul and love of nature.
“Suzanne had a way of making everyone feel at home,” one family friend shared. “Her warmth, humor, and generosity were unmatched. She lived life fully, with gratitude and love.”
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 9:00–10:00 a.m. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA. Interment will be private.
Following the service, family and friends are invited to a luncheon from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at the General Warren Inn, where stories and memories of Suzanne will be shared in celebration of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Suzanne’s memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA in West Chester, reflecting her lifelong love of animals.
💛 Suzanne Marsh Cox will be remembered for her radiant smile, her deep love for family, and her unwavering courage. Though she is gone, her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
