LEBANON, Tenn. – The Lebanon community is mourning the loss of Angela “Angie” Holt, age 61, who passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Known for her vibrant spirit, compassion, and impeccable sense of style, Angie leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Born to the late James Baxter and Annie Lee Tarpley Goad, Angie was a proud 1983 graduate of Lebanon High School. She was also a devoted member of Love’s Way Church, where she faithfully attended Tuesday morning Bible class and greeted fellow worshippers with her signature smile.
Angie spent much of her career in retail, where her eye for fashion and gift for connecting with people made her a beloved presence among co-workers and customers alike. Those close to her knew she had a flair for elegance—never missing a chance to find the perfect pair of shoes to match her personality.
At home, Angie found joy in cooking, often creating delicious meals while HGTV played in the background. Her husband of 40 years, Marlon Holt, fondly served as her “clean-up crew,” a role he cherished. Her loyal dog, Zoe, was her constant companion, bringing her comfort and happiness each day.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, James Baxter and Annie Lee Tarpley Goad; brother, Ricky Goad; sisters, Joyce Tisdale and Donna Barlow; father-in-law, Paul Holt; and sister-in-law, Paula Holt Gardner.
She is survived by her loving husband, Marlon Holt; daughter, Faith Anne Holt; sisters, Brenda McCanless and Debra Edwards; mother-in-law, Reba Holt; brothers-in-law, Hobart Jr. Tisdale, Jerry Barlow, Tommy Edwards, and John Holt; along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends who will deeply miss her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Partlow Funeral Chapel, with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. Bro. Stan Edwards will officiate. Interment will take place in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Peyton Suchomel and the caring staff at Alive Hospice for their compassion and support.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Angie’s memory.
