Beloved Coach William “Bill” Reynolds Passes Away at 88


Franklin, TN – The Franklin community mourns the passing of Coach William “Bill” Reynolds, who died peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Williamson Medical Center at the age of 88. Born on January 9, 1937, to Reuben and Zelma (Roberts) Reynolds in Williamson County, Coach Reynolds leaves behind a legacy of leadership, mentorship, and dedication that touched countless lives.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Josephine Reynolds; daughters, Ungrile Reynolds and Billie Jo Reynolds; brother, Thomas (Willette) Reynolds; brother-in-law, Raymond Kinnard; nieces, nephews, great-niece, great-nephew, and a wide circle of family and friends who cherished him deeply.
Coach Reynolds will lie in state on Friday, October 24, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation with family will be held on Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Limestone Baptist Church, 1613 West Main Street, Franklin, TN 37064, with funeral services beginning at 12 noon, officiated by Pastor Timothy Gaines, Sr.
Franklin remembers Coach Reynolds not only as a mentor and leader but as a devoted husband, father, and friend whose life and guidance will be dearly missed.
