Summerside, PEI –A devastating motorcycle collision has claimed the life of 23-year-old Dylan Thomas, leaving the Summerside community reeling with grief. The tragic accident occurred late Monday evening on Water Street, where emergency crews responded to reports of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.
According to Summerside Police Services, Thomas was traveling eastbound when the collision occurred just after 9:30 p.m. Despite the rapid arrival of first responders and the administration of life-saving measures at the scene, Thomas succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to Prince County Hospital.
Police have confirmed that the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating fully with the investigation. No charges have been laid at this time, but collision reconstruction specialists continue to piece together the circumstances leading to the fatal impact. Investigators are appealing to any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward.
