Waterford, Ireland — The community of Waterford is mourning the loss of Ann Kelly of Barker Street, who passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025. A cherished member of the community and a familiar face to many through her years with Noel Cummins Bookmakers, Ann’s passing has left a deep sadness among all who knew her.
Ann was predeceased by her beloved parents, John and Lizzie, her sister Carrie, sister-in-law Joan, and brother-in-law Fabian. She is fondly remembered and will be deeply missed by her devoted brother Paddy (known affectionately as Dando), her nephews Bryan, Daniel, Eoin, and Pat, her niece Audrey, as well as her extended family, neighbors, and many dear friends — especially Angela and Terry Murphy and their families, who held a special place in her heart.
Known for her kindness, gentle nature, and warm smile, Ann touched countless lives with her compassion and quiet strength. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Reposing will take place at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford, on Thursday, October 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with vigil prayers and the Rosary at 8:00 p.m. A Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, October 24, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Ballygunner, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
