WINTERVILLE, N.C. — The Winterville community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 17-year-old Kimora Ashanti Robinson, a beloved South-Central High School student who tragically lost her life in a vehicle collision on the evening of October 7, 2025.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 6:09 p.m. on Forlines Road in Pitt County. Investigators report that Kimora was attempting to turn left from the parking lot of South-Central High School onto Forlines Road when her vehicle was struck by another traveling westbound. Despite the quick arrival of first responders, Kimora succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to ECU Health with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities have stated that no charges are expected in connection with the crash.
