FAIRVIEW — The Square Roots community is grieving the sudden and unexpected passing of Fraser Lake, a beloved volunteer whose presence and dedication left an enduring mark on all who knew him. Fraser passed away on Saturday, leaving family, friends, and fellow volunteers heartbroken.
Fraser was known for his tireless commitment, regularly giving his time on Friday nights and Saturday mornings alongside his girlfriend, Gracie, and friend, Jonah. Whether unloading heavy sacks of vegetables, running the grab ’n go stand, or staying late to clean up, Fraser gave his all with energy, humility, and joy. His remarkable strength and willingness to do whatever was needed made him an invaluable part of the team and a true embodiment of service.
Those who worked alongside him remember his dedication, good humor, and the sense of reliability he brought to every shift. He made long journeys from his home just to be present, never failing to show up for the Fairview community he cared so deeply about.
“Fraser was more than a volunteer,” said those closest to him. “He was a faithful worker, a good friend, and someone who always put love into action. We could rely on him for anything — from unloading produce to sweeping up at the end of the day. He will be missed beyond words.”
As the Square Roots community mourns, they extend their deepest condolences to Fraser’s family and loved ones. His legacy of kindness, service, and selflessness will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Fraser — your spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who had the privilege of working alongside you.
