Iron Mountain Community Remembers Ernest “Buck” Hisel, Who Passed Peacefully After Brave Cancer Battle

HIBBING, Minn. — The Hibbing community is mourning the loss of Karin Arseneaux Rule, who passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, at the age of 59 after a courageous nine-year battle with cancer.

Karin will be remembered as a woman of strength, faith, and selflessness, whose unwavering love for her family and friends created lasting bonds and cherished memories. She leaves behind her beloved children, Alex, Chelsea, and Brady, as well as her treasured grandchildren, Lillian and Keaton, who will carry forward her spirit of love and resilience.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing, followed by a celebration of life at Mr. Nick’s Corner Bar. The event will honor Karin’s life, her courage in the face of hardship, and the inspiration she gave to all who knew her.

Her legacy of faith, kindness, and perseverance will live on, and her absence will be deeply felt throughout the Hibbing community.
