DUBLIN, Ireland — The aviation community and loved ones are mourning the sudden passing of Evan Hill, a 25-year-old pilot from Dublin, whose life was tragically cut short after suffering a subarachnoid hemorrhage in his sleep.
Evan’s death, confirmed on September 19, 2025, has left family, friends, and colleagues devastated. A recent graduate of the Atlantic Flight Training Academy, Evan had only just earned his wings and was preparing to embark on what promised to be a bright career in aviation. His passion for flying and his determination to achieve his dreams inspired those around him, both in and out of the cockpit.
Known for his warmth, dedication, and adventurous spirit, Evan was described by classmates and instructors as a natural pilot whose future in the skies seemed limitless. His sudden passing has not only left a void in his family’s life but has also been deeply felt throughout Ireland’s aviation community.
“Evan embodied the very best of what it means to pursue your dreams,” one academy instructor shared. “He worked tirelessly, lifted up those around him, and was just beginning a journey that should have taken him all over the world.”
Though his time was heartbreakingly short, Evan Hill’s memory will endure — in the love of his family, the pride of his colleagues, and the inspiration he gave to fellow aspiring pilots.
A life of promise, gone far too soon.
