The World Surf League (WSL) community is grieving the loss of Bern Page, longtime Global Safety and Security Director and a deeply respected member of the WSL family.

For nearly a decade, Bern was the steady hand guiding safety operations across WSL competitions and events. Known for his calm authority, quiet leadership, and unwavering professionalism, he earned the trust and admiration of colleagues, athletes, and staff alike. His work helped set and uphold the highest standards of safety worldwide, leaving an enduring impact on the organization and the broader surfing community.

Bern’s colleagues remember him not only for his expertise, but also for his humility, kindness, and integrity. He approached every challenge with resolve and care, ensuring that the athletes and staff he worked alongside were always protected.
