EAST HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A devastating fire in Westmoreland County claimed one life Saturday evening after a mobile home was consumed by flames, officials confirmed.

According to the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office, the victim was discovered inside the residence and pronounced dead at the scene. The individual’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of family members.

The blaze broke out in East Huntingdon Township and quickly drew a large emergency response. Witnesses reported seeing thick smoke and intense flames pouring from the mobile home as multiple fire departments rushed to the scene.
