Beloved Teacher and Mentor Remembered: In Loving Memory of Mrs. Kelly Dial

The Bulldog Family and wider community are grieving the heartbreaking loss of Mrs. Kelly Dial, a beloved teacher, colleague, and friend whose sudden passing has left a deep and painful void. Known not only for her knowledge in the classroom but for the compassion, care, and encouragement she gave freely, Kelly touched the lives of countless students, families, and coworkers throughout her career.

“She was more than a teacher,” one colleague shared. “She was a rock, an inspiration, and a mentor. She made people feel seen, supported, and valued.”

Her passing has left students, staff, and friends mourning a woman who was deeply woven into the life of the school. Kelly’s influence extended far beyond academics — she instilled confidence, encouraged resilience, and reminded those around her of their worth. For many, she was not only an educator but a guiding light.

The school has announced that classes will be delayed on Monday, August 18, 2025, to give the community time to gather and process this devastating loss. Buses will run two hours later than normal, with students beginning the day at 9 a.m. Breakfast of cereal, milk, and juice will be available. Staff are asked to report at 7 a.m. for an emergency meeting.

Counselors will be on-site throughout the week to provide support for anyone in need. Students, staff, and families are being reminded that grief is personal, and it is okay to not feel okay. “Let’s take care of each other,” the school said in a statement. “You’re not alone. We’re in this together.”

Mrs. Dial’s absence will be felt for years to come, but her legacy — one of kindness, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to her students — will continue to inspire.
